Hrbvor Iced Tea

Herbal tea founders Zahira & Dan Marmar wanted their brand, Hrbvor to feel rooted in crafted expertise.

As chief creative on this project, I defined a design strategy, brand look and feel, and illustration style for their line of herbal tea products. I worked with them to tap into a consumer market that values natural ingredients and a more elevated product offering.

Based on Hrbvor’s desire to take a more elevated approach to design, the founder’s Caribbean roots, and her connection to nature, I defined 3 distinct archetypes to establish a strong strategic foundation for the brand.




Once we decided on the brand personality to be ‘The Explorer’, I went into sketch mode.

I created 3 distinct visual concepts. Each concept approached type, illustration, color and brand/product hierarchy in different ways, staying close to the brand’s new strategic thinking.

The clients were most excited about the abstract, transportive nature of Option 2. This concept was further developed, with details to all panel layouts across 6 SKUs. I worked with their printers to ensure the printed cans captured the essence of the original design concept.
